Datenschutzerklärung

The short version: this website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and no trackers. The Kata Shell app contains no analytics or telemetry either. The little data processing that does happen is described below.

1. Controller

Stanislav Kiselevskii
Alte Ziegelei, 4
67346 Speyer, Germany
E-mail: [email protected]

2. Hosting (server log files)

This website is served by Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, Cloudflare technically necessarily processes your IP address and standard connection data (requested URL, date and time, browser type) to deliver the pages and to protect the service against attacks. I do not merge this data with other sources or use it to identify visitors.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in providing and securing the website. Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework; a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place as part of Cloudflare's terms of service. Details: Cloudflare privacy policy.

3. Contact by e-mail

If you write to me, I process your e-mail address and the content of your message in order to answer you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to the product or a (pre-)contractual matter, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Messages are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation and any statutory retention duties.

4. Downloads

The application download is delivered via GitHub (GitHub, Inc., USA). When you download, GitHub processes your IP address and connection data under its own responsibility. Details: GitHub privacy statement.

5. The Kata Shell app

Kata Shell contains no analytics, no telemetry and no advertising identifiers. The only network request the app makes is an optional check for software updates against this domain, which technically transmits your IP address and the installed version number; nothing is logged beyond standard server access logs (section 2). You can disable the update check in the app's settings.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the authority responsible for me is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz.
